two months of awesome
So, we played El Mocambo in Toronto last night and it rocked! Played with Solitary Solace and Dante Berardi Jr. Great guys, great music, great party!
Now, we’re taking a couple of months to promote the hell out of Ontario and Eastern Canada, leading straight into touring for April..
New songs, new vibes, new band member(?) and a whole bunch of awesome comin up!

just getting out of bed and gettin my day going in Windsor… watching Celebrity Rehab is making it hard to get out of bed! haha…
had a pretty cool show at Blind Dog last night opening for Sebastian Bach!
i was supposed to play a 45 min set on the main stage, but production was way behind, so i only got to play 3 songs on the acoustic stage… a little disappointing, but the room was full and what little i put out turned into getting a lot of new fans! thank you, if you are one of them and are reading this right now… 
so, more promo today and then partying with our friends at The Chubby Pickle here in Windsor… LOVE partying with Andrew and Carm!!

holy shit… the hard work is starting to pay off…
we’ve been pounding the windsor area since october, buildin the Nathan Down name there, playin shows, goin to strip clubs… haha
so, i’m sitting having breakfast at 3:30pm here in TO and my beautiful, Kitt, txts me sayin “Dave Silviera wants to know if you can open for Sebastian Bach tomorrow night”…
this is significant because, we are NOT from windsor… we got the call because of the work that we’ve been throwing into this.. and it’s starting to roll..
i mean, shit, Sebastian Bach from Skid Row? i’m gonna be opening solo acoustically for the guy who sang ‘18 and Life‘ and “I Remember You” – two of my FAV all time 80′s songs… vocals that are just out of this world!! so influencial for me, so awesome…
i’m gonna feel like such an amateur being on the same stage as that guy… oh, well, i’m bringin it the best way i can… rah!!

new to the blogging world…
so, this is the first ‘the realnathandown’ blog post… i suppose i do this all the time on Facebook with status updates, but now i think i have to have a little more to say!
first of all, thank you to everyone who has been visiting nathandown.ca! we’re going to be making a few layout changes as we move along building this.
mr. dan rice of pure phunk has been gracious enough to keep my online ass in gear, so big ups to him!
i’ll be doin a couple of video blogs each week… one general, and one that will be called ‘Nathan Down Influences‘… ‘Nathan Down Influences’ will be a stroll down my memory lane, recreating some of the songs that made me the artist that i am… i’m going to attempt to do this chronologically, so be ready for some pretty surprising, but cool shit…
a huge love-filled thank you to my girlfriend, Kitt, who has been unrelentingly loving and supportive while this whole bizniz…
my “bestie“, johnny goltz from the band ‘rise for order‘ is pretty much a pain in the ass, but gives me the talks i need to not be a pussy… haha
and, of course, my lovely band members, mikey s and chad beaudrie (aka ‘the Hotties’ when we play stripclubs)… loyal sons o’ bitches…
k, i promise the blog will get a shitload more interesting than this!! i might even go on rants that have NOTHING to do with music… see what kind of feathers we can ruffle… haha
